How to call in fire support?
First, make sure your team has two players of Commander and Observer class. A commander can call in fire support in the presence of an observer. So, to call in fire support, you have to be a Commander. Select your binoculars by pressing 4 on the keyboard, and make sure you have an Observer near you. If you are an Observer or Commander, locate a meter in the bottom left of the screen: this will show their respective distances from each other. You can call in air support if anyone is behind the line on the meter. If not, you will be able to call in fire support if you are the commander and you have a nearby observer. You can choose the fire support you want by pressing the J key on the keyboard.
Also, keep in mind that after calling in one fire support, there will be a cooldown period before you can order in another. Some like Gunship support and Minigun support can be called in only once. You will hear an announcement saying that the cooldown period is over, and you can then order in another fire support. Also, remember that some support like chemical mortars, explosive artilleries, and mortars can cause damage to enemies as well as friends. So, make sure you communicate well between your teammates before you call in support.
