Is there a Project Zomboid PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One Release Date
Project Zomboid comes with some very interesting features. These features include Lua modding support, cool character customization, skills and perks development support, etc. However, there is one feature that stands out and that is Xbox Controller Gamepad support for Windows. This means, if you want to play the game with a controller, you can do it through an Xbox Controller Gamepad. Although you will have to set up other controller pads manually, it is still worth the task. Even though the game comes with partial controller support, the future of the console version of the game is still not certain.
There is no official announcement or promise from Indie Stone to roll a console version yet. Be it PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, or Xbox One, you will have to wait for a reasonable amount of time to see a console version of the game. The reason behind this delay is both technical and economical. Since Indie Stone is an indie team as is self-explanatory by the name, the team might be still focusing on the PC version. Also, the problem with releasing a console version of the game is on the development side.
Well, Project Zomboid has its scripts developed in Java language which makes the process of porting the game from one platform to another a very hefty process. Indie Stone have themselves stated in their forum that they currently don’t have any plans for a console release, and even if they did, they wouldn’t be doing that on their own. Since Indie Stone is a group of indie developers, they probably don’t have the manpower to do it. However, in the upcoming times, if the game does well on the PC, they might consider the possibility of releasing a console version of Project Zomboid. Until then, you can enjoy the game on your PC with a controller. Also, do not forget to visit Androidgram for more updates about games like Project Zomboid.
