Fixes for the Kasa app notifications not working:
Check permissions:
It is possible that the permission to push notifications on your device was revoked from the Kasa App. Giving the app the permissions it needs to run smoothly should be enough to fix the problem you are facing. On your device, open the settings app and tap on the search bar at the top of the screen. Now search for “notifications”. Select the setting tab that shows up in the search results. You will see a list of apps. Find the Kasa app and select it. Toggle the button in front of it to enable notifications for the app.
Check sound settings:
You should also check your sound settings. If your device sound settings are switched to silent or if the the DND mode on your phone is enabled, you won’t receive any notifications. Switch those off and the notifications will be received on time on the Kasa app.
Troubleshoot the connected device:
There are a few things you can change about the in app settings on Kasa. Go to the Kasa app and locate the Device settings option. Make sure that the Kasa cam has its time synced correctly. If not, change it so it’s accurate.
You can also try to set the camera to factory defaults. To factory reset the security camera, read through the user manual provided with the devices.
Update app:
For most users, this is the only step that will be needed. The problems with notifications started after a particular update.
