Fixes for Nest Cam not connecting:
Flaws in your setup:
It is possible that the way your camera and wifi router are placed is not allowing a proper connection. If the Nest Cam is too far away from the wifi router or if there are way too many barriers in between, the two devices. In any case, try moving these to devices as close to each other as possible. If the Nest Cam is already mounted and cannot be shifted to a different place, try changing the place for your router. Lesser obstacles in the signal path will allow Nest Cam to connect easily.
Restart the camera:
If you have a wired Nest Cam, unplug its power cable from the wall outlet. Now wait for about 10 seconds and then plug the power cable back in the wall outlet.
Users with a wireless cam can restart the device by pressing the power button behind it. Just press and release quickly. Do not hold the button down as it will lead to a factory reset. Pressing the button will restart the device after which the Nest Cam won’t have any issues connecting with the Wifi.
Restarting the camera is by far the easiest way to reset the connection.
Check for problems with the connection:
I would recommend that you do not waste any time and get in touch with your ISP. Discuss with them the issues you are facing and ask if there is any problem affecting your network currently. If they confirm that your internet connection is out or compromised for some reason, provide them with the cooperation that is needed to fix the problem. Once your internet connection is back on track, the Nest Cam will not have any issues when connecting with it.
