One of the many problems listed on online forums is the Oculus Quest 2 Airlink not working error.
From the perspective of a passionate gamer, Airlink is a pretty important feature to be able to connect to your PC without a bunch of wires all around. Airlink not working is a major inconvenience for every gamer. To fix the problem for your device, check out the fixes given below. Try these out and get back to gaming within no time!
Fixes for Oculus Quest 2 Airlink not working:
1) Update the Oculus app on PC:
Navigate to the Oculus app location on your PC and make sure that it is the most recent version available. If it is not, update the Oculus app. Many times, sensitive features like Airlink will refuse to work if you do not have the latest version available. Change that, and check if you can successfully use Airlink to connect your Oculus Quest 2 headset.
2) Turn off Airlink and restart the device:
Turn off Airlink on your Oculus Quest 2 using the button on the headset. After turning it off, power off your entire setup and wait for some time. After a few minutes, restart all the devices and connect using Airplay. You won’t face the issue from before.
3) Check Firewall settings:
If your firewall is blocking TCP port 5669, you are bound to face problems like this. Make sure that your Oculus Quest 2 has all the necessary access to the device you are trying to Airlink it with. If you cannot track the necessary settings, just disable your firewall momentarily. Then try to connect through Airlink again.
4) Check Wi-Fi bandwidth:
If you have more than one connection, make sure that both the devices are connected to the one with 5 GHz bandwidth. Also, see to it that the connection is not switching during the time you are trying to connect. If you only have one connection, power cycle your router and try to Airlink again. This time you will be successful in doing so.
