OnePlus 7T/ 7T Pro: OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 9 update rolling out

OnePlus was only into manufacturing premium range smartphones which came with a price tag of at least $500 – $600. But after a long time, OnePlus finally stepped once again into budget flagship smartphones by coming up with OnePlus Nord. And talking about software, developers are busy with OxygenOS 11, the upcoming custom UI from OnePlus which will be supporting Android 11 OS.

The admins of the OnePlus forums have lately been publishing a lot of amazing news for the users about the OxygenOS 11 open beta. This time in the list is the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro devices.

OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 9 is out for 7T and 7T Pro users. Here is the official changelog of this latest, public open beta update-

Improved system stability and fixed general issues

Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.10

[Camera]

Fixed the flashback issue when switched to the front camera in particular cases

OnePlus 7T

As this is just a beta build of OxygenOS 11, you might face some issues or bugs after updating. Feel free to report these issues or give any feedback on the OnePlus community. Now that OnePlus has launched a dedicated app, you can drop your comments and first impressions on the OnePlus Community app.

Do note that once you flash your device for an Open Beta update, you will only receive Beta OTA updates then onwards. To switch back to receiving stable OTA updates, you will have to completely wipe and reset your device. Precautions-

  • You will receive this Open Beta via OTA update if your device is currently running on an Open Beta build.
  • If that’s not the case but would like to upgrade to Open Beta build, follow the instructions given here.
  • Do note that once you flash your device for an Open Beta build, you will only receive Open Beta build updates as mentioned above.
  • To shift back to receiving stable OTA updates, you will have to wipe and freshly install stable builds (this will result in wiping user data).
OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T was released in September 2019, followed by the successor variant OnePlus 7T Pro in October 2019. OnePlus 7T currently costs around Rs.37,00 whereas the 7T Pro costs around Rs.42,000.
