Despite getting very good reviews from top gaming media outlets, the player reception of the highly anticipated Planet Coaster 2 has been pretty bleak. Most are complaining that the game is not polished, doesn’t have good graphics, and whatnot. This has led to its Steam reviews being mixed. Now, while newcomers or returning are diving into the game, there’s another issue at hand that has been troubling players a lot, as far as we have come to know. The blurry graphics issue in Planet Coaster 2 is a major problem that needs immediate fixing. But is a fix available? Have the developers acknowledged the issue? Here’s everything you need to know.

The blurry graphics issue can be caused by a variety of factors. These include the game textures not being loaded, in-game settings like motion blur being turned on, antialiasing/upscaling settings, and so on. Interestingly, players have reported that even after disabling settings like Motion Blur and Depth of Field, the blurry graphics issue persists. If that’s what you are struggling with, here’s how you can fix the issue for good.

Planet Coaster 2 Blurry Graphics Issue: Is there any fix yet

While an official fix for the issue hasn’t been released yet, you can try a bunch of workarounds for the same. As per player reports, these workarounds have helped them get rid of the problem.

1) Turn on Motion Blur and set DoP to Contextual

As per Steam user Dave, all they needed to do was turn on the Motion Blur setting in-game, along with setting the Depth of Field option to Contextual to fix the issue. While we can’t guarantee that this will actually be effective, we recommend giving this a try.

2) Turn off Chromatic Aberration

Another setting you need to turn off is Chromatic Aberration. This can be found in the game’s Graphics Settings menu. There’s a manual way to disable it as well. For this, go to this directory: “C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster 2\Config_Local”, and open the Graphics.config.xml file using Notepad. Now, find the “<ChromaticAberration>1</ChromaticAberration>” line and change it to “<ChromaticAberration>0</ChromaticAberration>”. Once done, save the changes and then launch the game to check whether the issue persists.

3) Set Anti Aliasing to FXAA

If the above two workarounds haven’t fixed the issue, you can try setting the Anti Aliasing option to FXAA. But before you do this, you will have to turn off the Global Illumination setting. Once turned off, select Anti Aliasing and then set it to FXAA.

4) Change Resolution

Another workaround worth trying is to change the in-game resolution. Try lowering the in-game resolution to verify whether the issue persists. If yes, set it to a higher resolution. Also, make sure that no upscaling setting is turned on.

5) Reinstall

Finally, you can try reinstalling the game if the previous workarounds haven’t been of any help. A fresh installation might get rid of any internal conflicts that’re restricting the game’s performance and visuals.

With that said, now you know all about how to fix the blurry graphics issue in Planet Coaster 2. If you find this guide informative, consider visiting Android Gram for more such interesting content on all things gaming.
