From the Grand Underground Region
You will need the Explorer Kit to go into the Grand Underground. If you don’t have one, worry not as we have jotted down the process for you. Head over to Eterna City and enter the house beside the Pokemon Centre. You will find an old man standing there. Once he notices you, interact with him. AT the end of the conversation, he will gift your the Explorer kit. Now, you can use the Explorer Kit to enter the Grand Underground.
Once you are in, open the Grand Underground map from Menu and look for locations with a Question Mark – Pokemon Hideaways. Navigate to those and see which caves they lead to. You may end up in the Dazzling Cave – look for Charcoal in there. If you don’t find any, head out of the cave and head into the other Pokemon Hideaways. Remember that Charcoal enhances fire-type moves so chances of finding such an item near fire or lava is high. So, continue digging until you reach the Sandsear Cave. Look around for Charcoal. If you don’t see one, leave the cave and enter again. Look around the cave again. Keep doing so until you find a piece of what you are looking for.
