Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: How to get the Upgrade?
As mentioned before, you can either obtain Upgrade by talking to Professor Oak or via the BP Shop for 5 BP. But, before that, you must complete the Sinnoh Pokedex and defeat the Elite Four plus Cynthia. You cannot get the Upgrade before you complete the main campaign and unlock the Hall of Fame. Done with the main campaign? If you have already defeated Cynthia (the Champion), here’s how you can get the Upgrade in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
Talk to Professor Oak
First, visit Ramanas Park and meet Professor Oak at the entrance of the Park. Interact with him – he will tell you that he will be continuing his research in Eterna City. Now, visit Eterna City. Look for Professor Oak’s house – it will be situated beside the Eterna City Gym. Enter it and speak to him again. At the end of the interaction, he will gift you the Upgrade item. Now, you can obtain the Upgrade item only once in this process. To get multiple Upgrades, follow the next process.
From the BP Shop
To access the BP Shop, head over to the Battle Tower located in Battle Park. Fight trainers inside the Battle Tower to obtain BP and then use it in the BP Shop at the top of the tower to buy unique items. You can buy the Upgrade for 5 BP.
Once you have the Upgrade, use it to evolve your Porygon to Porygon2 – give it to your Porygon as a held item and trade it to trigger the evolution process. For more articles on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, stay tuned to Androidgram!
