Pokemon games like Unite and Go have also followed the tradition of adding new content every few weeks and celebrating festivals as special events. Pokemon Unite also features a battle pass – free and premium – that renews every eight weeks. Players can collect exciting in-game cosmetics such as trainer outfits, rare holowear, and item enhancers as they advance their battle pass level.
Now that a new year has commenced and the holiday season is almost over, we can comprehend your excitement for upcoming events in Pokemon Unite. Mind you, Pokemon Unite’s Holiday Event is still ongoing and is scheduled to end on January 16, 2022. As far as the massively popular MOBA is concerned, its next update will most likely be based on Valentine’s Day and may start on or around February 14. As of January 2022, there’s nothing in the air regarding an upcoming Valentine’s Day 2022 update in Pokemon Unite. But, can we try drawing some conclusions from similar Pokemon games? Well, we can certainly try! Most Pokemon games are Switch exclusive, but Pokemon Unite found their way into the mobile (Android and iOS) platform too. Another extremely popular Pokemon game, Pokemon Go, is a mobile exclusive. Both Pokemon Go and Unite are free-to-play games on mobile platforms. However, they feature (optional) microtransactions. Considering the similarity between Pokemon Go and Unite, let’s figure what Pokemon Go had to offer a year back during Valentine’s 2021.

Pokemon Go’s Valentine 2021 event featured two new Pokemon debuts (Munna family) and love- and friendship-themed Pokemon spawns in the wild. The event also included new in-game cosmetics, increased probabilities of finding lucky Pokemons and becoming lucky friends, and much more. As we have seen in previous events, Valentine’s 2022 update may add a special quick match mode (love-themed map), special love/friendship enhancer items, gifts, love- and friendship-themed events, and much more. Valentine’s is not big enough an event to be a part of battle pass, but it isn’t actually impossible. Considering the fact that the present battle pass will end on January 31, it is possible that the next battle pass is planned to be based on a love/friendship theme.
