Every game has some kind of in-game currency. Most of the time, the most valuable and expensive in-game currency can only be obtained with real cash. Sometimes, the game developers offer the players a limited amount of this expensive currency so that they can learn its value and how hard it is to acquire without paying a cent. Remnant 2 also has various currencies that can be used for buying items, weapons, equipment, and even changing your class. In this guide, we will take a look at Lumenite Crystals and why you should get them.
Main quests and side quests provide scrap materials and various items, and some of them even provide one of the most valuable items called Lumenite Crystal. For easier understanding, you may call it upgrade material instead. So let’s see why you should get this material and the best way to get it.
Remnant 2 Lumenite Crystal: How to get, find & use
As we explained in some of our previous quick start guides for Remnant 2, if you want to change your archetype after your character creation has been made, or maybe you are eager to try a different role because that gives a way better playstyle than your current one, then you can simply change it with certain items. One of the most required items is none other than Lumenite Crystals. You need them whenever you craft an essential item to change your character’s archetype or for other purposes as well. So, how do you get this item?
Buy it
Yes, you can buy Lumenite Crystals from an in-game NPC named Cass. As always, she will be available in Ward 13, the main Hub. Buying these crystals from her will cost you 300 Scraps per crystal. Since you will be getting Scraps in huge numbers anyway, saving them for this purpose is far more worth it.
Drops
Killing elite monsters and bosses may sometimes drop Lumenite Crystals. Since this is a rare item to begin with, getting even 1 or 2 of these will be a big success. The more levels you gain, the more powerful the monsters will get. This means if you fight the same elite monster in a later part, the drop chance of the crystal will be higher. That’s not all; if some enemy drops the same item that you already own, then it will turn into scraps, giving you more options to acquire this treasure.
Buffs
We know that each piece of equipment grants some kind of stats and buffs along with it. In the beginning, these stats will be lower, but once an enemy drops some good items, you’ll be in luck. Try to equip items that have increased scrap drop chances. For starters, Scavenger’s Bauble grants 50% increased scrap gains; this means if a monster usually drops like 100 scraps, after equipping this item, you will gain 150 instead. This gain also applies to item conversion or when a monster drops the same equipment that you own.
So your main way of getting Lumenite Crystals will be through buying them, at least in the early stages anyway. Once you start exploring the deeper and more dangerous parts, you won’t be solely relying on scraps anymore. We hope this was enough to clear your doubts about Lumenite Crystals in Remnant 2.
