Emulators are a boon for gamers who do not own the right setup to play particular games. It is not possible for everyone to have a console and a dedicated PC setup all just for the sake of gaming. Emulators like RPCS3 save the day by providing the necessary software features to run a console game right on your PC. It is a PS3 emulator that works on almost all the widely used operating systems for desktop computers. It is recommended to use a controller to play those games since they were designed that way. But what if your controller does not work in sync with RPCS3. This problem beats the point of installing an emulator on your system. Hence it is important to fix the problem as soon as possible to get back to gaming. Here is a list that can help you out with it.

Fixes for RPCS3 not detecting controller:
1) Recommended controllers:
There are some controllers that are recommended for RPCS3. These suggestions are for better connectivity and overall performance. These are the controllers that you should be using with the RPCS3 emulator – DualShock 3, DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox, or Xinput compatible controllers. If you decide to use any other controller, make sure that all the necessary drivers for it are installed and updated. To understand the configuration settings and drivers that are required, follow the steps given here – RPCS3 Wiki: Controller Configuration.
2) Reset the controller:
Your controller should have a small hole at the back. The hole will be quite fine, so it may take a few seconds to actually find it. Inserting a fine pointy object in it to press the reset button will reset your controller. The reason you need to do this is because controllers can become sometimes act weird if you turn on your computer with the controller connected. Resetting the controller is the easiest way to fix it. After the controller is reset, it should connect flawlessly to your PC.
3) Restart PC:
Restarting your system is the easiest fix if your controller is not connecting to RPCS3 due to a system error. Restart your PC and reconnect your controller. Check if the restart is able to fix your problem. All things considered, this step should be enough to fix the problem.
4) Check in-game settings:
Your controller can also stop working due to problems with in-game settings. So, make sure to go through all of that. Also, refrain from pressing keys on your keyboard or moving your mouse. This will make sure that other controls do not override the console controller on RPCS3.
