RPCS3 Save Game Location: How to Find and Backup Your Progress
Knowing where your in-game progress is saved is very crucial. However, the location is usually different for Windows OS and Linux OS. Firstly, we will discuss where RPCS3 saves your in-game progress on a Windows OS system:
For Windows OS
\RPCS3\dev_hdd0\home\00000001\savedata\
This means, first of all, you will have to head to the drive in which RPCS3 is installed. Now, open the RPCS3 folder. After that, access the dev_hdd0 folder. Now, you will have to head over to “home”. Then, open the 00000001 folder, and head inside the savedata folder. This is where you will find your saved progress. If you want to keep a backup of the same, you can right-click on the files, and then select Copy. Now, paste the files to another location. In case the original saves are corrupted or get overwritten, you will be able to replace them with the backed-up files.
For Linux OS
The above location was for Windows OS but what if you want to find the save file location in the Linux OS? For this, you will have to select the “View Folder” button on the Save Manager on Linux. If you don’t find the saved files folder even after this, you can go to
.config/rpcs3/dev_hdd0/home/user_id/savedata
For MacOS
~/Library/Application Support/rpcs3/dev_hdd0/home/00000001/savedata/
You will have to open the library and go to the applications support folder. Now, you will have to go to the RPCS3 folder and open the dev_hdd0 folder. Here, you will find a file called 00000001, and then access the saved files from the savedata folder.
For FreeBSD
~/.config/rpcs3/dev_hdd0/
So, this was everything about the save game location in RPCS3. On this note, do not forget to visit Androidgram for the latest updates in the world of tech and gaming.
