SCUM stuck on loading screen (2022): How to fix it?
These are some of the fixes that you can use to make the game load without any problems:
1) Restart your system:
You can restart your system to avoid any temporary bug or glitch that might have been hindering the loading of the game.
2) Check your internet connection:
Make sure that you are getting proper upload and download speeds from your internet connection while opening the game. To do so, you can head over to any network speed testing website online.
3) Close unnecessary background processes:
You can open the Task Manager and close all the background processes that are consuming resources of your system for no good reason.
4) Delete the saved folder:
Open the Windows search bar by pressing the Windows button and type % localappdata% here. Now, go to the Local\SCUM directory and delete the saved folder from there.
5) Lower the graphics of the game:
Go to the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open the gameusersettings.ini file with the help of notepad. In this file, make the following changes:

You can look at the above graphics settings and change them accordingly. Once you have done that, you can save the changes. Restart the game, and the error should be fixed.
6) Don’t log out near vehicles or chests:
If you are trying to log out of the game, make sure that there are no vehicles or chests nearby. This might be a bug in the game but unless you are not logging out of such places, you won’t probably face the loading screen problem.
7) Install the game on SSD:
If you are trying to run the game on an HDD, make sure that you shift the game to your SSD. SSDs have faster load times and they will be able to load the game more smoothly.
8) Stop overclocking:
If you are using any overclocking applications on your PC, we recommend that you close them and then try to run the game.
9) Verify your game files:
You can also try to verify the game. For this, go to the Steam library and find the game. From here, right-click on the game, select Properties, and under the Local Files tab, click on the option that says “Verify the files of the game”. After that, try opening the game again.
10) Update your Windows and graphics drivers:
Make sure that your Windows and graphics card drivers are up to date. If not, update them and then try running the game.
If these fixes don’t work for you, try contacting the official support of the game. On this note, we hope that we were able to solve the stuck on loading screen issue in Scum for you. Also, if you want to get the latest updates in the world of tech and gaming, do not forget to visit Androidgram.
