Unable to log in to Spotify using Facebook? Well, the popular online music and podcast streaming platform has its annoying share of bugs that users have to resolve. Although most Spotify bugs aren’t much of a pain, users still have to face some amount of inconvenience, which is never fine. How to fix the Spotify facebook login error?
The Facebook login error was first noticeably reported back in February 2018. Several users took to the Spotify Community to report this issue, where they were unable to log into Spotify using their Facebook accounts. While it was supposedly resolved at that time, such bugs always tend to return. However, it’s not only a bug that could be blamed for this problem. Such an error may also occur if your account is restricted or Spotify (or Facebook) is suffering from a server outage. Whatever be the reason, try the following workarounds to see which one works for you:
1) A user suggested disconnecting the Facebook account from the Spotify profile and then reconnecting it. This seems to have helped most of the affected user base. Another way to do this is by opening your Facebook Apps page, unlinking Spotify, and then doing a fresh login.
2) Have you been using a Spotify Ripper? Spotify may ban or disable your account for such activities. If that’s the case, you will receive an email regarding the restriction. You can appeal for an unban from here.
3) Spotify or Facebook could be facing a server outage. Try logging in after a few hours.
There are a few other workarounds like resetting your Facebook Password, using the password reset feature on Spotify, or using an incognito tab. But these weren’t really helpful.
