The Riftbreaker: Enable developer console on Game Pass version
I enabled mods and went into the gamefiles and swapped enable dev console from 0 to 1 but still nothing pops up. Am I using the correct key? is it ~? I was hoping to unlock the camera and cant find a way to open up the dev console. – swordsmandel, a Steam user
According to reports, players want to unlock the camera or the zoom feature in The Riftbreaker using the in-game console. This is because the game zooms in completely when played on wide screens. The zoom feature is not available as an in-game setting – it can be unlocked using the in-game console only. But, the developers have disabled the in-game console in The Riftbreaker’s Game Pass version to maintain stability of the app. Luckily, a Steam user found a way to enable the developer console on the Game Pass version. Here’s how you can do so-
1) Open the local.cfg file here:
\Documents\The Riftbreaker\config\
2) Add the following line to the .cfg file:
set enable_developer_console 1
If you don’t see the .cfg file, try this workaround –
1) Create folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\The Riftbreaker\config
2) Create file named developer.cfg here with:
set enable_developer_console “1”
That’s it. You will now be able to open the developer console in The Riftbreaker’s Game Pass version. You will have to use the number key 1 to open the console. Further, if you want to unlock the camera or the zoom feature, you can do so by adding another line to the local.cfg file –
set camera_enable_zoom 1
Note that if you zoom out too much, your game will crash. This is why the developers have kept the feature locked – to stop such crashes.
