These are the following fixes through which you can consistently play the game without any crashes:

1) Switch to Dx11

One of the most effective fixes is to change the DirectX version from 12 to 11 and then restart the game. This approach has helped some players with the issue.

To change the DirectX version, follow these steps:

  • Open the game launcher and go to the Settings menu.
  • Click on the Graphics tab.
  • Change the DirectX version to 11.
  • Restart the game.

2) Verify game files

Another workaround that players can try is to verify the game files. Verifying the game files will check for any corrupted or missing game files and fix them.

To verify game files, follow these steps:

Epic Games Launcher:

  • Open the Epic Games Launcher and go to your Library.
  • Click on the three dots or right-click on the game icon you want to verify.
  • From the drop-down navigation, click Manage.
  • Once the Manage page opens, click Verify from the list of options.
  • Wait for a few minutes until the verification process completes.
  • After the verification process is complete, click Launch to start your game.

Ubisoft Connect:

  • Open the Ubisoft Connect application and navigate to the Games tab.
  • Select the game you want to verify and click on Properties.
  • Under the Local files section, choose Verify files.
  • If prompted, select Repair.
  • Wait for Ubisoft Connect PC to download and restore any missing or corrupted files.
  • After the verification and repair process is complete, the game should run smoothly.

3) Update graphics drivers

Updating the graphics drivers can also help fix the crashing issue in The Settlers New Allies game. Graphics drivers are essential components that help run the game smoothly. Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause the game to crash.

To update graphics drivers, follow these steps:

  • Open the Start menu and search for Device Manager.
  • Click on Display Adapters to expand the list.
  • Right-click on the graphics card and select Update Driver.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to update the graphics driver.

4) Run the game as an administrator

Running the game as an administrator can also help fix the crashing issue. This gives the game permission to access system files, which may be necessary for the game to run properly.

To run the game as an administrator, follow these steps:

  • Right-click on the game launcher icon and select Properties.
  • Click on the Compatibility tab.
  • Check the box next to “Run this program as an administrator.”
  • Click on Apply and then OK.

5) Disable overlays

Overlays are applications that run over the game and provide additional features such as chatting, taking screenshots, or live streaming. Disabling overlays can help fix the crashing issue in The Settlers New Allies.

To disable overlays, follow these steps:

  • Open the game launcher and go to the Settings menu.
  • Click on the Game tab.
  • Scroll down to the “In-Game Overlay” section.
  • Turn off the overlay.

Conclusion

Although there has been no official response from Ubisoft, players can try these workarounds to fix the issue. If none of these workarounds help, players can contact Ubisoft support for further assistance.
