1) Restart your console: The first thing you can do is restart your console. All you have to do is use the D-pad “+” and A buttons on your controller. Now, select Restart this Xbox option that will appear on the “Something went wrong” screen.
2) Reset your console: If restarting does not work, you can also reset your console. In order to reset your console, you need to access the D-pad “+” and A buttons on your controller. Now, all you have to do is select the Troubleshoot option which will open the Troubleshooter for Xbox start-up. You can also open the Xbox Start-up Troubleshooter by powering off your console and then pressing the Pair and Eject button after powering it on again for 10-15 seconds. Now, press the Xbox button on your console. Once the Xbox Start-up Troubleshooter opens, select the Reset this Xbox option. When the option pops up, select the Keep games and Apps option. This will reset your Xbox One without deleting your installed games.
3) Perform an offline system update: You can update the Xbox One through a Windows-based PC connected to the internet and having a USB port. You will also need a USB flash drive having a minimum of 6GB of space formatted as NTFS. Note that only the Offline System Update file OSU1 needs to be in the flash drive before updating the system. You just need to download the file and extract it from your system. Now, you need to copy the $SystemUpdate file from the extracted file to the flash drive. Copy the file to the root directory of the flash drive with no other files in it. Now, unplug the flash drive, and follow the next step.
4) Do a system update through the OSU1 file: Open the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Now, plug in the flash drive to the USB port of your console and select the Offline System Update option. By using the D-pad and the A button, go to the Offline System Update option and let the update finish itself.
5) Restore your console: Follow the Pair and Eject method to open the Xbox Start-up Troubleshooter. Now, select the Reset this Xbox option and select Remove everything. However, go for this option only if the second method given in this list does not work.
6) Go for a repair: If none of the steps in the list works, then there is no other option but to submit a repair request to the Xbox team. You can submit the request from here.
