Fixes to use when the Xfinity flex Audio is not working:
Steps to troubleshoot when the problem is limited to a few channels:
A few channels may not play the audio if there is an active server outage. The easiest way to find that out is by visiting the online community forums on Reddit and Twitter (preferably Twitter). Visit @XfinitySupport on Twitter and go through the recent posts and comments to see if other users are facing the same issue. If they are, you will have to wait for the problem to fix itself.
If there aren’t any outages that can affect the service, here are some things you can try –
Go to the device’s SAP or MTS setting on your TV. It would be best to refer to the user manual to locate the setting on your device. Select the SAP or MTS option and change the setting to either Off or Normal. This will fix the Xfinity flex audio issues.
You can also try switching the Dolby Digital and Expert mode in the sound settings. A user mentioned that these settings stopped the proper audio output on their device. Go to Settings > Audio > Stereo and make the necessary changes.
You should also check the Default audio track setting. On a TV box, go to the Main menu > Setup > Audio setup > Default audio track. Set it to any language you want.
And on a TV adapter with an on-screen guide, press the Info button > Setup > press 5 or Enter > audio setup. Select the language of your choice. Check if this fixes the problem.
Steps to troubleshoot when the problem is on all channels:
Firstly, check the jack in which you have the cable for your audio device. TVs can have slots that look similar to an audio jack which may confuse users.
Next, make sure that your device is not on Mute. If it is, turn up the volume or press the mute button on your remote to turn the setting off.
If that doesn’t work, turn off your device and unplug its power cable for 30 seconds. Now plug the power cable back and check if the issue is resolved.
