Fixes for Xfinity Flex Black screen:
Check all the cables:
Turn off your TV and Xfinity Flex device. Check all the cables that interconnect your system and also to the power outlet. Push all the cables in to make sure that there are no loose ends. While you are doing that, also check if there is physical damage to any of the cables. If the cables are damaged in any way, you will have to replace them with new ones. After checking all the cables, turn on your TV and Xfinity Flex to see if it still displays a black screen.
Check the HDMI slot:
Remove the cable from the HDMI slot that connects the Xfinity Flex with your TV. Check the pin on the cable as well as the slot on your TV. An HDMI cable has many small pins inside it. If any of those pins are bent or damaged, it can affect your display quality. And if you find signs of damage in the slot on your TV, insert the cable in a different slot. ṬVs generally have more than one HDMI slot, so you should be fine. Check if the Xfinity Flex black screen issue gets fixed after this.
Change the input slot:
The step before this mentions changing your HDMI slot if the one you are using is damaged or does not work. However, you will also have to switch the slot in the TV settings. This will be different for different TVs. So it would be best to access the manual for your device. Select the slot in which you have inserted the HDMI cable and the black screen will be fixed on your Xfinity Flex.
Change screen resolution:
With your Xfinity Flex turned on, press Exit > Exit > Exit > 720 on your Xfinity remote. This will change the resolution to 720p. This should bring back the screen. Once the screen is visible, press the settings icon on the remote and go to Device settings > Video display, and select the resolution you want. This will fix the black screen issue on your Xfinity Flex device.
