Modifying or repairing your equipment is pretty expensive with Dying Light 2 weapons. But if you have higher quality resources this ensures that your weapons will last longer. The weapons normally have 3 dots(stages) of repairing.
Dying Light 2 Weapons Repairing
Initially, you have all your weapons unmodified but as the durability starts to go down slowly, you will need to add your modifications. A quick repair way is to just click on the weapon and repair the suggested modification.
Certain rarities of weapons throughout the game will have different modification slots or sockets. Generally, the weapons of rare which are blue color or the unique weapons which are purple color will have a tip and shaft socket. Mods
Dying Light 2 weapon mods themselves are blueprints that can be bought from various shops around the open world for money. They can be upgraded much like any other blueprint that you have. There may be more mods in the game throughout the game but vendor mods can be bought easily at shops. For the tip and shaft socket, you will get an option of different elemental effects that are activated on critical hits. These are called Crit mods. Another mod called a Power mod can be charged by hitting enemies and launched using a power attack.
However, certain fire mods are potent in combat and others are quite distracting. Viewers also complained that any of the fire mods make a constant hissing gas noise while being held or attacking which over time became annoying. Dying Light 2 mods that have the shock effect work very strong in combat. Both stunning and causing every damage around the target. It also includes blast elemental mod effects like the fling mod, which turns out to be great when players are at ledges or rooftops. The blast mods are also nice because you can save the effects of the mod. Then, manually activate it when you have the perfect setup for combat.
