Equifax subscription

Is Equifax not working for you? We have gathered some fixes that you can try to solve the issue. Equifax is a credit reporting agency that collects consumer data and structures it. The company allows users to raise disputes, get credit reports, and much more features that can be availed with a subscription.

But, long-term Equifax users have endured a lot of issues while trying to use Equifax. Most of them do not seem convinced with Equifax’s service quality. There have been many reports of various errors when using Equifax. However, there are a few fixes/workarounds you can try before shunning Equifax altogether. If you have been facing errors on Equifax, read this article to know how to fix it.

Fixes to try when Equifax is not working:
Equifax not working

1) Refresh browser:

Refresh the page of your browser. Or better, just close the browser and launch it again. Visit the Equifax website again and check if you can perform the necessary actions. An easy way to refresh a full refresh on your browser is by pressing the CTRL +F5 keys on your keyboard.
Don’t hesitate to clear the cache data and browsing history. Head over to the browser settings and select History or Clear browsing data. Delete the unnecessary cache files and check if Equifax is still not working.

2) Tweak DNS settings:

Right-click on your internet connection in the taskbar. Click on ‘Open Network and internet settings‘. Click on Properties of your connection and scroll down to find the DNS settings. When you find the DNS settings, click on ‘Edit’. Change the preferred DNS to 8.8.8.8 and alternate DNS to 8.8.4.4. Google handles these DNS servers. Hence, they are considered reliable in terms of speed and stability compared to the other DNS servers.

If you have ever changed the DNS settings on your device, change it back to the default settings using this step. This might help you solve the Equifax not working problem.

3) Check if the server is down:

The Equifax servers may be facing an outage or undergoing maintenance. This is a problem that Equifax users have to deal with very often. Hence, if Equifax is not working for you, the chances are that other users are facing the same problem. Take a look at the online forums and see if users have reported any issues recently. If this turns out to be true, troubleshooting at your end won’t solve the problem. Hence, wait for the officials to fix it.

4) Use a different browser:

If the servers are working fine, maybe there is something wrong with your default browser. Use the secondary browser on your device and check if Equifax starts working. The extensions installed on your browser can often interfere with specific websites.

5) Check your internet connection:

If none of the above fixes worked for you, consider troubleshooting your internet connection. Turn off your router and wait for 30 seconds before turning it on. After the reboot, reconnect your device and check if Equifax is working now.
