Battlefield 2042

Wondering how to turn off crossplay in Battlefield 2042? The beta phase of the upcoming first-person shooter was full of unaddressed and random bugs and issues. You may have experienced more server throttles when you turned cross-play on. Several players were unable to use the cross-play feature at all. If you feel that turning on the crossplay feature is not suiting you, you can turn it off. Read this article to know how to turn crossplay off in Battlefield 2042.

The open beta phase of Battlefield 2042 is now over! Most of us felt that the game was worth the money and time. The video game stood out visually and featured a wonderful story and backdrop. Players were impressed with the gunplay too. However, the list of bugs reported was long. Most of the bugs could be attributed to server throttles, but many were independent and annoying. Players were disappointed with DICE; they were expecting a better execution of the game in the open beta phase. The official release is just a month away, but the developers have a lot of work to complete. Considering the promise Battlefield 2042 shows, we are sure the player base is going to return during the official release. But if DICE and EA fail to provide a bug-free experience, it won’t be long before the battlefield is abandoned and dusty.

Crossplay in Battlefield 2042

Now that the open beta is over, you won’t be able to play Battlefield 2042 until November 19. Oh wait, the developers have planned an early access phase for all the fans! So, under some unrevealed terms, you will be able to access Battlefield 2042 officially from November 12. Exciting, isn’t it? The official release will obviously be less buggy and hence you can expect to be able to use features like crossplay without any interference. With crossplay, PS5, XBox Series X|S, and PC players can play Battlefield 2042 together. However, Xbox One and Play Station 4 players can only play with each other using the crossplay feature. Previous-gen devices cannot matchmake with next-gen devices and PC on Battlefield 2042.

How to turn off crossplay in Battlefield 2042?

If you want to disable crossplay to avoid matchmaking with players on other platforms, we are here to tell you how to do so. Visit the Options Menu. Click on General Tab, and then General Sub-tab. Scroll down to look for the Cross-Play option. Turn it off by clicking on it or toggling. While disabling crossplay is easy in Battlefield 2042, it can cause longer matchmaking times. However, crossplay between PC and consoles in shooter games is considered unfair. It gives a lot of advantages to players on PC who use mouse and keyboards over console players who use controllers.

I love to play video games and write about them. Food helps with my patience. I am a fan of comedy, and I am funny too (sometimes just angry).
