Are you not receiving experience points or XP in Battlefield 2042? Or, is the weapons progression system bugged in your game? Some players have even reported not being able to unlock gun attachments. Now that you have managed to overcome all the launch errors and play the game, welcome to a world of buggy Battlefield gameplay!
EA promised a lot with this next-gen Battlefield game, and this is also why we saw fans dive right into the action as soon as Early Access was opened. However, fans were majorly disappointed and felt cheated when they encountered massive bugs in the game. The game’s beta (held in October) also saw major traffic, but it was the same situation – players reported a long list of bugs. So, is there a way to fix the annoying game data error leading to a bugged weapon and XP system in Battlefield 2042? Read this article to know more.
Battlefield (BF) 2042 not receiving/getting XP & weapons progression not working, weapons attachments not unlocking issues
When i kill someone/cap or do anything score related in game. I dont get a pop up at the bottom showing the exp gains (ex: +50 enemy killed). After game it says that i gained 0 xp overall.
So, players are not receiving XP after completing matches in Battlefield 2042. Also, some players reported that the game isn’t even counting kills properly sometimes – revives and assists are left out as well. This is obviously annoying as the game’s weapons progression and attachment unlocking system heavily depend on the number of kills. So, players are unable to unlock attachments or level up their weapons. If you don’t receive XP, you will not be able to level up in the game.
Kills are not counting in game. Guns aren’t levelling because of that and you can’t level up.
The situation is different for every player in Battlefield 2042. Some are unable to receive XP or weapon progression in All-Out Warfare, while others are facing the issue in the Portal mode. You can try a few workarounds. But, let us tell you that these are not guaranteed to get rid of the issue. Try the following, anyway –
1) Restart the game.
2) Verify integrity of game files.
3) Reinstall Battlefield 2042.
4) Restart your system.
If the above doesn’t work, we suggest reporting the bug directly to EA Support and following their instructions. You can also keep an eye on this EA Answers HQ thread. For more updates on Battlefield 2042, stay tuned to Androidgram!
