According to many players, following the given steps has fixed the error for them. Here’s what you need to do.
So, all you need to do is discard and go back to the Wayfinder’s Compass. Now, reacquire the quest, and then it should finish. Also, when you do the activity again and don’t shoot any of the wisps during the ether collection part, the issue doesn’t occur.
