The word “special” rings a part of our hearts really loud! Probably why hardcore gamers are always ready for special editions of their favorite game titles. Skyrim is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released decades ago, but there are many reasons to play this game even now. With a massive world to explore and plenty of options for playthroughs, Skyrim is now a hot title to own.
Skyrim also has a special edition called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, a new, revamped version of the game. The special edition also brought in the concept of mods in the game, which took the experience to a whole new level. Additionally, the game looks much more realistic with the special edition, and the gameplay scenes are brilliant enough to impress you!
Skyrim DLCs: What is it?
DLC stands for downloadable content. There are three available for Skyrim: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. All three are different gameplay modes that you will need to unlock through quests in the main game. The DLCs brought a sense of change in the original game, and fans were happy with the look and experience of the new modes. Are the DLCs included with the Skyrim Special Edition? Dawnguard DLC
Want to enter Dawnguard? Talk to common guards that roam inside or around major cities. The guards will tell you where to proceed. The Dawnguard quest will then be unlocked. A marker will appear that will escort you to a cave called Dayspring Canyon. Then you head over to the Fort Dawnguard, where you tell someone inside to start the “Awakening”. The Dawnguard DLC will then be fully unlocked for you!
Hearthfire DLC
Hearthfire is not a story-driven DLC. It revolves around the player owning plots of land and many other small additions like adoption. Unlock each plot of land by completing quests. You will then be allowed to build houses of your own, which is the main catch of Hearthfire.
Dragonborn DLC
You will have to play the main story ahead of ‘The Way of the Voice’. Visit a major city after that. Cultists will be walking around the city. When you approach them, they will ask you whether you are the Dragonborn. Say hello to a fight between them and you right after the talk ends! Look for orders in the cultists’ bodies that direct you to Windhelm docks. Look for Gjalund Salt-Sage on a boat, ‘The Northern Maiden’, once you reach there. Ask him to take you to Solstheim. He will not agree with you easily, so try the different options available on him until he agrees and takes you there to start the DLC!
Are all three DLCs be included in the Skyfire Special Edition?
If you are buying the original version and the DLCs bundle, the special edition will not be included in the combo. But, if you buy the special edition of Skyfire, the DLCs will come included with it.
