F1 2021 friend invites & multiplayer not working: Fixes & Workarounds
Try the following workarounds/fixes:
1) Troubleshoot your internet: This is a long process. Take your time and check your internet connection properly for any ping issues or other issues. If you are using a wireless connection, restart your router. You can also try using mobile data and see whether the problem still exists. Officials also suggest trying a wired connection instead of wireless to ensure a robust and stable internet connection.
2) Restart your device: Be it a PC or a console, perform a complete reboot or power cycle. Sometimes, glitches in the systems can cause video games to malfunction and start displaying issues.
3) Try port-forwarding: Mods suggest performing port-forwarding to solve multiplayer bugs in F1 2021. If you don’t know how to perform port forwarding on Xbox, you can head here. PlayStation users can learn port forwarding here. PC users can set up port forwarding by accessing router settings. Refer to the port numbers below:
4) Type your friend’s F1 2021 name correctly: Check for any errors in the F1 name you are typing to send an invite. If you type the wrong username, your friend will not receive an invite.
Note that the issue may be on your friend’s side too. You may ask him/her to perform the above troubleshooting too. However, if none of your friends are receiving your invites, it’s likely a problem with your system. If performing all of the above doesn’t solve the issue, you should report it to the developers as this might be a bug. Report the problem here. Hope this F1 2021 article helped you.
