How to fix Facebook Marketplace not working in 2022?
The approach is pretty much similar to what you would have done if Facebook wasn’t working. Since Marketplace is a part of Facebook, it is likely that Facebook itself is facing an inconvenience. To begin with, you can try restarting your device or computer to check whether it’s just a temporary issue on the hardware’s end. You can even try logging out and logging back into your Facebook account. If these basic tricks don’t work, don’t worry. Here’s what you can try if Facebook Marketplace isn’t functioning properly:
1) Refresh Facebook’s website/restart Facebook app:
This is the simplest thing you can try! Just click on the refresh button on your browser to reload the website. Or, if you are using the Facebook app, close the app from the Recents Window and reopen it. Head over to Facebook Marketplace and check whether it’s working.
2) Clear browser/app cache data:
Clearing old cache files has helped a lot of users with solving a Facebook Marketplace issue. Open up your browser settings and look for an option to clear browsing data. Delete all app cache and cookies. Similarly, on your phone, open the Settings app and navigate to the App List. Here, choose the option for Facebook. Now, you will either get an option to Clear data > Clear cache [on Android] or Offload App [on iOS]. Once done, try launching Facebook and then using Marketplace.
3) Update your browser/Facebook app:
Using an outdated version of a browser or the Facebook app will likely cause issues with Marketplace. If your browser is outdated, you will see a notification for the same. Make sure you complete such pending updates. Similarly, if you using the Facebook app on your phone, head over to the respective app store and check whether there’s an update available for the app. If yes, update the app immediately. Check whether the issue with Marketplace persists after updating the browser/Facebook app.
4) Use a different browser:
This is another commonly suggested workaround for Facebook users facing Marketplace issues. If you are unable to get things working on Chrome, we recommend giving Firefox or Opera a try. In any case, try using a completely new browser – one that you have never used before.
5) Reinstall the Facebook app:
The last thing you can try is reinstalling the Facebook app. Head over to the respective app store and search for Facebook’s app page. Now, choose Uninstall. Once done, tap on Install to initiate reinstallation.
