Football Manager 22 not launching & working: Fixes & Workarounds
Here’s what you can try doing if the game misbehaves on your platform.
1) Verify your game files:
Playing Football Manager 22 through Steam? Try verifying your game files to fix not loading/launching issues. Open Steam Library, and right-click on the game. Select Properties and then navigate to the Local Files tab. Now, click on the Verify integrity of game files… option. Steam will now verify your game files. 2) Make sure your OS and Graphics Drivers are updated:
Use the Windows Update Assistant to download and install the latest version of Windows 10. Also, ensure that your graphic drivers are up-to-date. You can update your drivers using the dedicated app (like Geforce Experience for Nvidia), or you can use Device Manager. Open Device Manager and look for your graphic drivers on the list. Right-click on it and select the Update Driver option.
3) Run Football Manager 22 as admin:
Locate the download location of the game, and then look for the game .exe file (launcher). Right-click on the .exe file and click on Run as the administrator option.
4) Disable your anti-virus programs or Windows Firewall:
To disable the Windows Firewall, open Control Panel. Navigate to System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall. Click on the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option on the left-hand side panel. Turn off the firewall from the next window. If you use third-party anti-virus software to protect your PC, you can disable it from the official app of the same.
5) Perform a reinstall of Football Manager 22:
If none of the above works, uninstall the game and then reinstall it. This is a time and data-consuming step, but it solves launch issues most of the times.
