1) Launch Fortnite.
2) Head to the Creative mode.
3) Once you are loaded up, go to the Settings Menu.
4) Now, select the Keyboard Controls tab to access the in-game control menu.
5) Here, all you need to do is simply click on the X button to delete the custom keybind of the specific action and add it again.
6) After doing so, save the changes and the custom keybinds will work without any issues.

Also, if you are using a mouse and keyboard while playing Fortnite on an Xbox console and facing this error, the only solution for this is to change the language in Xbox settings. A player has shared that changing the language keybind from French(Canada) to French(France) has fixed the issue for him. So, make sure to give it a shot.
