Want to play co-op in Dead by Daylight? Well, the game isn’t exactly multiplayer-friendly. You can play online co-op, yes! But, you cannot communicate with your friends inside of a game. How to invite friends to play together in Dead by Daylight?
You and your friends can either play as survivors or one among you can choose to become the killer among your survivor friends. However, there are a few things you may want to know beforehand. If you and your friends choose to play as survivors only, you will be entitled to participate in online matchmaking. For example, you have one friend with whom you want to play Dead by Daylight and both of you want to play as survivors. You can invite your friend to join your lobby and then start online matchmaking. This way you can also participate in the ranking system and earn bloodpoints. On the other hand, if you choose to play as a killer among your friends, you will need to start a custom match. A custom match is not eligible for the ranking and bloodpoint system.
How to invite friends to play as survivors in Dead by Daylight?
Follow these steps:
1) Launch the game.
2) Choose the Play as survivor option.
3) Select the plus icon to head over to the Friends tab and invite friends from the list.
4) Next, select Ready and make sure all your friends do the same.
That’s it. You and your friend(s) will be matched with a random Killer online. If there’s space for survivors, random survivors will join your match through matchmaking.

How to invite friends if one of you wants to be the killer in Dead by Daylight?
1) Launch the game.
2) Choose the Custom Game option.
3) Select the plus icon to head over to the Friends tab and invite friends from the list.
4) Next, select Ready and make sure all your friends do the same.
As mentioned before, a custom game of Dead by Daylight will not be included in the ranking system. Plus, make sure that your party has five people at least. Otherwise, a match with less than four survivors can become boring.
