Congratulations on owning the latest device from Apple! The iPhone 13 series displays immense power and versatility. Any device of the series is a beautiful thing to own. Needless to say, your iPhone 13 comes with an (almost!) impregnable mobile security system. With the release of iOS 15, things have never been better. However, many may find some of the security features annoying. For example, the feature that requires you to enter your password every time you purchase an app or download an app from App Store. Well, you can disable the require a password feature for free app downloads. But, you cannot disable the same for any App Store purchases. Well, you cannot disable it entirely, at least. Read this article to know how to change the default password settings on your iPhone 13.
Require a password for App Store on your iPhone 13: Disable it
There are two options for you. You can either require a password for every purchase you make on App Store or iTunes or require a password every 15 minutes. If you change the feature to require a password every 15 minutes, it will be a lot less annoying. Authorize one of your app downloads and you will be able to download any app without having to enter your Apple ID password for the next fifteen minutes.
Here’s how you can turn off the require a password feature for free apps on your iPhone 13:
1) Open Settings on your iPhone 13/Pro/Pro Max.
2) Tap on your name.
3) Next, tap on Media & Purchases.
4) Now, open Password Settings.
5) Under FREE DOWNLOADS panel, toggle the button to disable the require a password feature for free downloads.
If you don’t see Password Settings, you must have enabled using Face ID or Touch ID for App Store Purchases. Return to Settings, tap “Face ID & Passcode” or “Touch ID & Passcode”, then turn off Face ID or Touch ID next ti App Store.
