PS5: How to get out of safe mode

Wondering how to unlink PS5 from PS App? Well, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of information available for this question. Linking your account through the PS app is very easy. But, when it comes to unlinking your or your friend’s account, it becomes quite a hassle. But, what if you have bought a new console and wish to unlink the old one? Well, we might have a solution for you. But let me warn you that it might not work for everybody. The PS app does not have a straightforward way to unlink or remove your old accounts. Anyway, let us proceed with the article.

The PS app allows you to monitor and manage your PS console on your mobile devices. It provides a variety of options and customizations. It also allows PS5 users to browse and share their captured game videos with others. Along with this, you can also check which of your friends are online. The app is also great for text and voice chatting while you game, and it also allows you to plan your next sessions. The app also has the option to browse the upcoming releases and place a pre-order if you are interested.  Despite many great functions, the PS app lacks some basic features. The option to unlink your old accounts is one of them.

How to unlink PS5 from PS App?

Well, as we said before, it is a bit tricky to unlink your account through the PS app. The app only has the option to deactivate all your devices. It is not the best method but it will do the job. So, do try this method and see if it works out for you.

1) Open the PS app on your mobile device.
2) Now, press the gear icon to go into the Settings menu.
3) Scroll down and locate the PlayStation Network tab and click on the Privacy Settings.
4) This will prompt the Sony website to open and might ask you to log in.
5) After you log in, click on the three bars on the left side of the screen to access the menu.
6) Now, scroll down and click the Device Management option.
7) Next, select the Playstation Consoles and look for the “Deactivate All Devices” option.
8) The app will ask if you want to deactivate all your consoles from the app. Select Yes and wait for the process to complete.
9) This will deactivate/remove all your current devices from the PS app. To link your PS5, you will need to register it once more to make it the primary console.

So, this is how you can unlink/deactivate your PS5 from PS App. We hope that you found this article helpful. You can also check out our other article on How to fix the PS Now subscription not working issue. Stay tuned to Android Gram and happy gaming.
