PS Now subscription

Have you bought a PS Now subscription, but it is not reflecting on your account or not working? Then check out what you can do to solve this problem.

PS Now is a well-known, subscription based cloud gaming service. Managed by Sony, it has over 800 games with new ones being added every month. Not only that, games that were only available for a specific version of PS are now available to stream on other more advanced versions of the PS. You can also take advantage of this service on a Windows PC. The fact that this service is not limited to just PlayStation user’s makes it even more enticing.  This let player check out many different games for a low price. This also means that you can first try a game and if you really like it, you can buy it or just continue playing via PS Now. It entirely depends upon your choices and preferences.

There are three different pricing models through which you can avail a PS Now subscription. The prices differ based on the duration you want the service for. Players can initially get a free trial for the service as well. The free trial lasts for 7 days, after which the subscription charges will be applicable. Here are the available plans – US$9.99 per month, US$24.99 for 3 months, and US$59.99 per year. These prices are great considering, many AAA titles cost more than the yearly cost of the subscription.

This is almost too good to be true. And that is exactly the case with PS Now. There are many user reports that highlight different problems and errors with the PS Now app or the service in general. Though PS Now has great potential and should be Sony’s counter to XBOX Game Pass, it fails to abide with the most basic user requirements. One such problem was reported around 2 years ago for the first time. Players claimed that they could not see their subscription (which already reflects in their transaction history and bank statement), active on the PS Now app. This prevents them from playing the games they have already paid for. The issue is prominent mostly for the PC users.

Fix for PS Now subscription not working:

Though the situation seems to be very tricky, solving it is not a problem at all. When you open the app and cannot access the games, just press the Windows button on your screen to see the taskbar. Right-click the taskbar and open Task manager. Since you haven’t closed the PS Now window, you will see an instance of the app in the list of running apps. Right click on it and select ‘End task’. Now, re-launch the PS Now app and. You should be able to access all the games available based on your subscription for PS Now. It’s that simple a fix!

If the above doesn’t work, check whether PS Now’s servers are up and running or are currently facing an outage. Facing trouble with a transaction? Hit up the PlayStation Support for further help.
