All video games have settings that you can customize according to what you like. With heavy video games like NHL 22, it is important to customize the game according to the user’s liking and hardware for a smooth and enjoyable experience. NHL 22 has not deprived its player base of a thoughtful settings feature; the game is very user-friendly in terms of customizations. But, the bugs are proving to be extremely nosy and preventing players from playing the game without issues. The custom slider bug is not letting users save the changes they are making. Read this article to know what annoyed players had to say about the issue.
NHL 22 Custom Sliders not saving, resetting to default
So, if players are editing the sliders in settings from the game menu, Be a pro menu, or the franchise menu, the changes are getting reset immediately when they enter a game of NHL 22. As a result, they have to re-edit all the changes to apply them to the match they are in. Here’s what a user had to say:
When you go in game, you’ll see that the changes are not saved and you need to edit it manually each game. If you go back to the main menu tho, you’ll see that your changes to the sliders are there, they don’t translate in game. – EvaElfieSimp, An EA Answers HQ user
One of EA’s community managers suggested a workaround: Change the settings in the NHL 22 match and then exit out of the mode. Then, choose to Save and Exit. Now, load back into the same mode and check whether the settings are saved. However, this didn’t work, and the bug remained the same. When you change the settings, you will see the changes being made. Even after quitting to the menu, the changes remain if you save them. But, the changes revert immediately upon entering a match.
Is there a fix yet?
No, there’s no fix to this issue yet. However, on receiving a few similar complaints, the community manager took note of the issue. He promised to let the developers know about it. This is what he had to say:
I’ll pass this on to the dev team, but I don’t know if/when this will be addressed. When I have some news, I’ll let you know.
The settings/custom slider bug is one of the many bugs which still remain unaddressed. Although it is a minor bug and can be adjusted to, it isn’t very pleasant and destroys the user-friendliness of NHL 22. We hope the developers come up with a patch update soon to solve all the unaddressed bugs and make NHL 22 a better video game to play.
