The Pokémon Go Summer Event Research is a precursor and a build up to the Pokémon Go Fest 2020. With the fest coming up on 25th and 26th July, Niantic gave the players a few special quests go be busy with in the meantime. However, lately people have been noticing a bug with this research task. What this bug is, how is it affecting people and how to solve it are the questions that will be answered below.
The whole event is divided into two parts, Friendship and Summer. The tasks associated with both these event research is located in the Daily Task section. Click the binocular button situated on the bottom right side of your map screen to open up the task tab. Swipe right, to access the daily tasks.
If everything is normal with your game, you will find some tasks which you can complete for event related rewards. However, if your game is bugged like a majority of people, these tasks will not be visible to you. Many players have complained that these tasks keep disappearing randomly. They see the daily rewards and bonuses but not the challenges themselves.
This can be a little game breaking for people who like to finish all the challenges like a completionist. However, worry not as this bug has a fairly straightforward fix. All you have to do is restart the Pokémon Go app. Firstly, go to your OS settings and force quit the app. Then wait for approximately 20 seconds before attempting to launch the game again. If you do it correctly, you should be able to see the tasks again.
This is just a workaround the bug as completely fixing it is in Niantic’s hand. However while they are at it, you can manage with this temporary fix in the meantime.
