Fixes for PS now not detecting PS4 controller:
1) Controller Wire:
If we go by what some experienced users have to say, you will have trouble connecting your controller with a random cable. Try not to connect through cables that might be used for charging or any other purposes. PS comes with a cable to attach to your controller. If you aren’t using that particular cable, start using it. PS Now should detect your PS4 controller without any issues.
2) DS4 for Windows:
DS4 is an input mapper that is used to connect your controller to a Windows PC. If you use the PS Now app on a PC, you might be already aware about this. Many users have a hard time connecting their controller using this program as well. So here is what you can do about it –
Go to Control panel by typing the same in the Windows search box > Hardware and sound > Devices and Printers > Wireless controller > Hardware > HID – complaint game controller properties > Change settings > Driver > Uninstall device. Now restart your computer and follow the next steps. Go to Settings > Controller setup or driver setup. Keep following the onscreen prompts to complete the process. PS Now will detect your controller without any issues.
If the controller is detected by your system but you can’t control the game, do the following –
Open your DS4 controller window and switch to the settings tab. Enable the ‘Hide DS4 controller’ option. After enabling the option, you should be able to control your game without any problems.
3) Compatible controllers:
There is a list of controllers that are compatible with PS Now. Take a look at this list and make sure you are using the recommended controller.
a) For PC – DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controllers.
b) For PS5 – DualSense wireless controllers or DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controllers.
c) For PS4 – DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controllers.
