How to tame a boar in Valheim?

So, to name a boar, you have to tame it. While it may sound simple, the boar is a wild animal in Valheim. And, no wild animal has been easy to tame. In Valheim, boars will be one of your domestic animals once you tame one. So, if you tame two of them, they will participate in mating and produce more boars. Soon, you can own a little boar farm of your own. In Valheim, you will be taming boars, but only because you need them to survive in the game.

Taming a boar requires some patience. To start the process, first, you will have to gather the food boars eat. Gather all the Blueberries, Carrots, Mushrooms (not Yellow mushrooms), Onions, Raspberries, and Turnips you can. Once you have enough food in stock, build a pen to trap one of the boars. Make sure the pen is away from aggressive stuff like fire. Next, you will have to lure a boar into the pen and seal it so that the boar cannot escape. Luring is, again, not easy. Once the boar gets into the pen, give them some time to calm down.

Give the boar some food once it calms down. This will start the taming process. Keep giving it food from time to time until fully tame. That’s it! You can now name your boar. Press left shift + E to name.
