Vivint cameras app

Logout and log in:

First, open the Vivint app and select the Home Services button to check if the camera is showing in the panel. If the device is not visible on the panel, go to the next step. But if the panel shows the camera device, log out of your account. Now log back in with the appropriate credentials. This will fix the problem between the Vivint cameras and the app.

Reconnect the device:

Since your camera device was not visible on the panel, it may have gotten disconnected. Perform the steps to set it up again. Search for devices on the home network and add the camera to the list of connected devices on the app.

Power cycle the camera:

Power cycling the Vivint camera will let it form a fresh connection with the app. Unplug the power cable from your Vivint camera. Now plug the cable back and press hold the button on top of the camera. Hold the button until the light on the camera turns red. The light will go through a series of changes until it lands in green which is your sign to connect the camera with the app again. The Vivint cameras will easily work with the app after this.

Troubleshoot your internet connection:

Power cycle your router in case there is a problem with your internet connection. Turn off the router and unplug its power cable. Keep the setup unplugged for about thirty seconds and plug the cable back in. Turn the router on and check if that shows your Vivint cameras on the app. If you still notice problems with your internet connection, contact your ISP for further assistance.

Reinstall the app:

Uninstall the Vivint app from your device. Restart the device and then install the app again. This will get you the latest version available for the app. Now login and connect your devices if needed. This should be enough to fix the problem stopping the Vivint cameras from working on the app.

Contact support:

If all the troubleshooting steps failed, it would be better to contact Vivints’s customer support for further assistance in the matter.
