Xfinity is an easy way for users to manage multiple services through one brand. It is not every day that users come across a service like Xfinity that helps them make things simple rather than complicate them. Take video streaming platforms for example. No user can be content by subscribing to just one of the many video streaming platforms available. Different streaming services have different content that a viewer may or may not like depending on the situation. This makes it difficult to keep track of all the different apps. However, Xfinity has been making immense efforts in bringing other apps under one roof to make access easy for users. But these efforts have been causing more problems than expected.
Users are unable to use the apps on Xfinity or X1 app. If the same issue has been bothering you, here is a list of carefully curated troubleshooting steps that can help. Take a look.

Fixes for Xfinity apps not working:
Close and re-open app:
This is a troubleshooting step suggested on the Xfinity support page. Close the app that is not working on Xfinity. Now restart the app and check if it works. You can also try completely closing/ force closing the X1 app on your device. Now restart the X1 app and check if it works. In most cases, this step should be enough to fix the problem since many minor errors are fixed with it. But on the off chance that it doesn’t work, try the next step.
Logout and log in:
Log out of your Xfinity account. Do this only if you know your credentials. If you don’t know your credentials, reset your password or username, and then try this step. After logging out of your account, log in again and then try opening the apps. The apps on Xfinity should work without any issues.
Restart device:
A quick restart is always the way to go. Whenever you are confused about the next step in fixing a technical problem that seems too advanced for your understanding, just restart your device. You will be surprised to know how many times it can save you from a time-consuming error within seconds. Turn off your device and then turn it on again. If it is a streaming device, let’s say the X1 TV Box, turn it off and unplug the power cable from the wall outlet. Keep the setup like that for about 3o seconds then plug the power cable back. Turn on your device and check if the Xfinity apps work.
Reinstall app:
If one of the many apps on Xfinity is not working, go ahead and uninstall the app. If many apps are facing an issue, go ahead and uninstall the X1 app from your device. Now reinstall it and check if the Xfinity apps work.
