Razorshroom is a type of mushroom that is used to restore hearts and raise Link’s attack damage. It is also used as a cooking ingredient while preparing various meals. Since Razorshroom buffs Link’s strength temporarily, it is effective while fighting bosses, mini-bosses, and other powerful enemies. Hence, stocking up on Razorshrooms is crucial. Luckily, Razorshrooms are fairly common items to find and you don’t have to venture far to get them.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK) Razorshrooms: Where to get & find
Razorshrooms are very easy to find in the game. They usually spawn underneath the trees in the wooded and hilly regions of Great Hyrule Forest and in the Tabantha Frontier. Head to the northern region of the Great Hyrule Forest(0300, 2530, 0190) to gather the most number of Razorshrooms. The Great Hyrule Forest is located to the north of Central Hyrule and the west of Death Mountain. Tabantha Frontier is located to the northwest of Central Hyrule, south of Lake Totori. Hence, you can go to either of the two locations which are closer to you. Also, identifying a Razorshroom is not difficult because of its distinguished wide, brown cap and several cuts on it.
If you have at least one Razorshroom in your inventory, hold it in your hands and drop it on the ground. Use Link’s Camera ability to take a picture of the Razorshroom. Doing so will add the item to the Hyrule Compendium if it was not initially added. Next, open your Compendium and find the Razorshroom image that you captured. Add the item to your Purah Pad, and it will automatically guide you to the nearest Razorshroom.
Razorshroom Uses
Each Razorshroom when eaten raw, restores half of your heart’s HP. When roasted by direct flame, it turns into Toasty Razorshrooms. Eating one Toasty Razorshroom restores three-quarters of a heart. Additionally, Razorshrooms can be cooked in a cooking pot to yield a dish that increases attack power temporarily. When it is used as an ingredient for other meals, it raises the fuse attack power when that meal is consumed. It can also be traded to get Crimson Dye at Kochi Dye Shop, Hateno Village (3545, -2090, 0232). Lastly, you can even sell these Razorshrooms for 5 Rupees each.
