Want to disable the voice chat in Battlefield 2042? Although it is a squad game and communication is one of the keys to winning a game, sometimes voice chat can be overwhelming. In situations when you team up to play with randoms, you can often find yourself in uncomfortable situations. Turning off voice chat seems the best way to avoid any distractions. We are here with a guide to help you disable the voice chat in Battlefield 2042.
Among all the chaos Battlefield 2042’s beta phase created, there were a few features that stood out and did well. Players appreciated the visuals, the backdrops, and the mechanics of the game. Once they were able to solve the bug plaguing them, peeps had a lot of fun playing the game. The game also features a robust voice chat system. However, like all video games have some annoying feature or the other, Battlefield 2042 didn’t forget to follow the trend. The developers announced an always-on profanity filter for in-game text/chat. This was added as a part of DICE’s Positive Play initiative. But as expected, fans weren’t happy with the decision. Battlefield 2042 is an M-rated video game i.e., it is for mature audiences only. Then, why is there no option to disable the profanity filter?
Turning off voice chat in Battlefield 2042 will mean you will be using the text to communicate most of the time if needed. Profanity filter will scan “toxic” words from your chat. And, sometimes, filters like this are not exactly accurate thus, filtering out important “non-toxic” words creating unnecessary confusion. Not a very user-friendly feature for peeps who want to keep their voice chat disabled!
