Field of View is a feature that has become extremely popular as developers started adding it to most video games. FOV has now become a necessity rather than an optional feature. Call of Duty Vanguard features a FOV slider of up to 120 in both PC and console editions. And, as you can imagine, most players have jumped into using the highest Field of View setting to enjoy the game’s sights. However, the popularity of the slider feature and high Field of View trigger an ounce of doubt among us – does the usage of a high FOV value have no disadvantage at all? Well, there’s one disadvantage. And, a single disadvantage can be enough for players to look for a more optimized FOV value. Read this article to know how to use the FOV slider and the best FOV value to choose in Call of Duty Vanguard.
Call of Duty (COD) Vanguard: How to change Field of View (FOV)?
As mentioned before, shooter game fans love to engage in gunfights at high FOV settings. However, did you know that playing at the highest FOV can make your enemies look smaller than usual? It can make aiming/targetting extremely difficult for beginners. So, choosing a high FOV may not always be advantageous. So, what is the sweet spot for Field of View in Call of Duty Vanguard?
Experts suggest keeping the FOV slider at 100. If you have never played around with the FOV slider before, set it at 90 first and increase gradually. Increasing FOV has great advantages, as you would know already. So, if you have confidence over your aim and target spotting in Call of Duty Vanguard, bump it up to the maximum (120) to get the best experience. And, if you are a console player, turn on Aim Assist and set it to the Precision mode in addition to the 120 FOV setting and score some satisfying close and mid-range headshots.
It is easy to change the Field of View in Call of Duty Vanguard. Open the in-game settings and navigate to the Graphics tab. Under that, look for the Field of View setting. Now, increase or decrease FOV using the slider according to your preference.
