So, Dying Light 2 boasts of next-gen ray tracing inclusion but doesn’t feature HDR. Although the difference may not feel very substantial for some, it’s kind of a dealbreaker for many. Dying Light 2 is a zombie killer game featuring a huge open world for players to explore. According to fans, a zombie game is mostly rated on its looks. Both visual and audio design play very important roles in video games like Dying Light 2. And, Techland has done its best yet.
Fans and critics have praised the game’s beautiful scenes, parkour system, and progression system. However, many have reported huge FPS drops while traversing across the City [map]. As a result, users have to disable ray tracing to get moderate FPS in the game. What’s the use of an RTX 30 series GPU if it cannot handle ray tracing at 80-90 FPS? Well, as it happens, Dying Light 2 doesn’t seem very optimized to run on ray tracing yet. In that case, the inclusion of HDR support would have helped a lot of us tremendously!
Is HDR Support available in Dying Light 2?

Windows 11 now includes an Auto-HDR option that automatically upgrades SDR quality rendering to HDR in video games. Dying Light 2 doesn’t happen to support Auto-HDR, too, enraging a few fans. According to most players, a video game in 2022 should mandatorily include HDR support. Techland’s decision not to include HDR in Dying Light 2 displeased a lot of Dying Light 2 players. There’s a third-party way of including HDR in Dying Light 2. But, it happens to be quite a pain to configure the same. Moreover, Dying Light 2 includes anti-cheat software which can cause issues if you are using third-party software. We also recommend trying this only if you are well-versed with computer techniques as it can be very confusing. If you are still willing to give this a try, look for a program called SpecialK, and all your HDR woes will be answered!
