Forza Horizon 5 has managed to set a benchmark for modern racing games in numerous ways. The visuals of the maps set in Mexico are something that none of the previous Horizon games were able to achieve. With a widespread map, players also get to create their own custom events with the tools provided in the game. Players can set up an event that is different from the ones provided by the developers. The best of Forza Horizon 5 is its visual effects. The smoke, lighting, and various car parts that help a player customize their vehicle, all contribute to it. And not just visuals, Forza Horizon 5 manages to take the gameplay way beyond just racing. One of the aspects that make the game a lot more interesting for the players is the add-ons in Forza Horizon 5.
When a player buys the premium version of the game, they get a few additional packs or DLCs with it. These add-ons are available in the marketplace and should directly reflect on your account. This is obvious since the payment is already made. However, some players are facing a problem in loading cars from the marketplace to their garage. What’s the point of buying a premium version of the game if you aren’t even allowed to use the cars you bought? Well, that’s not the case here. The add-ons you bought for Forza Horizon 5 are still accessible. You just have to activate or claim them. Keep reading the article to know how to do that!
How to fix Forza Horizon 5 add ons not working:
1) Restart the game:
Sometimes, all you need is a quick restart. If you have bought the premium add-ons as a pack separately, close the game and restart it to sync the data properly. This should fix the issue for you.
2) Complete the first chapter in the game:
In an online forum, a Forza Horizon 5 player raised their concern about not being able to access the contents. Another user suggested completing the tutorial or the first chapter in the game. Doing this will make the Welcome pack, Car Pass, and VIP pass available. This suggestion managed to fix the problem for the player who brought up the topic. Hence, give this fix a try. After completing the tutorial chapter in Forza Horizon 5 see if you are allowed to manage the add-ons.
3) Redeem free/all cars:
This is a manual step that many players overlook. The mass expectation is that, as soon as the add-ons are bought, the cars will be added to the garage. But that’s not the case with Forza Horizon 5 add-ons. First, go to the Marketplace from the main menu. Select your car pack. You can either select an individual pack that is not letting you get the cars or select all the packs together. Press enter to select the pack and see all the cars that are a part of that DLC. Now, look at the bottom of the screen. There you should be able to see an option called ‘Redeem free cars’ or ‘Redeem all cars’. To trigger that option, press space on your keyboard. This will add all the cars that were in the add-ons, into your garage in Forza Horizon 5.
