Fixes for Oculus Quest 2 button not working:
1) Unpair controllers:
Unpair your controllers using the Oculus app on your mobile phone. Open the app and select the Devices option. Select the headset that is paired with your account. Tap on controllers and select the option to unpair. After unpairing the controllers, follow the same steps to re-pair them. Go into the app and press hold the requested buttons on your Oculus to pair it again. This is the most basic fix for when the button on your Oculus Quest 2 is not working.
2) Restart Headset:
Restarting the headset is a quick step that you can perform for strange errors like this. Restart your headset by pressing and holding the power button on it. Select Restart from the power off menu. Let your headset restart and then test the controllers. The buttons should be working fine now.
3) Remove/ Change batteries:
You might also want to change the batteries in your controllers if you haven’t done that in a while. Change the batteries and try to connect again. If you are sure that the batteries haven’t died, remove them and keep them that way for at least 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, put the batteries back and test the controllers again.
