Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP): How to get all evolution items?
Well, there are several evolution items or stones in the game that are essential for a pokemon’s evolution. These evolutionary items are Dusk Stone, Shiny Stone, Dawn Stone, Metal Coat, Sun Stone, Moon Stone, Razor Claw, Fire Stone, Thunder Stone, Water Stone, Leaf Stone, Oval Stone, and many more. Although they have a very limited spawn rate, you might be lucky if you visit the locations where they usually spawn. Here are all the details:
ThunderStone
You can find a Thunderstone in SunyShore City. You can also find a Thunderstone in a location that can only be accessed after defeating Team Galactic and being ready to fight the eighth Gym Leader.
Water Stone, Leaf Stone, Moon Stone
These stones can be found in the Grand Underground directly. So, if you are interested to get one, start exploring the Grand Underground. However, their spawn rates are very low in the game.
Firestone location
Found in Fuego Ironworks, the Firestone can be accessed by solving tile puzzles on the floor on the far right side of the room. It can also be found in the Grand Underground.
Shiny Stone
This stone can evolve Roselia and Togetic and can be found on Iron Island. All you need to do is complete the side quest in Iron Island and make your way to the very end of Iron Island. You will find the Shiny Stone on the right side of the last room in Iron Island. This stone also spawns in the Grand Underground after you’ve completed the game.
Metal Coat

Dusk Stone
There are only 3 Dusk stones in the entire game so make sure to get one early in the game. To get a Dusk Stone in the game, you will need to visit the Galactic Warehouse in Veilstone City and access the storeroom. More details about this are shared here.
Oval Stone
You can get the Oval Stone in the Lost Tower, Route 209. Once you enter the place, you will come across Youngster Oliver. Accept his challenge and defeat him to receive an Oval Stone.
Razor Claw
You can get a Razor Claw in the Grand Underground once you reach Victory Road. Towards the end of Victory Road, you will have to search the area to find the Razor Claw.
Dawn Stone
Visit Route 207 in Mount Coronet and head inside the cave. You will see a water body on your right. Surf across the water body and on the other side, you will get the Dawn Stone.
Electirizer & Magmarizer
Electirizer can be found in the Grand Underground(Dazzling Cave, Whiteout Cave, Stargleam Cavern, and Glacial Cavern). However, you can only get one if you capture an Elekid(BD Exclusive) which has an Electirizer item.
The same goes for Magmarizer. You can get a Magmarizer if you catch a Magby(SP Exclusive) holding the item in the Grand Underground(Volcanic Cave, Sandsear Cave, and Typhlo Cavern).
Other Evolutionary Items
Well, the rest of the evolutionary items can be accessed only after you’ve completed the game. Head over to the Exchange Service and you will have a bunch of evolutionary items that can be purchased using BP. These items include Razor Claw, Razor Fang, Protector, Reaper Cloth, Upgrade, Dubious Disc, etc.
