What does ‘Failed to verify username’ mean in Minecraft?
failed to verify username

When you see the ‘failed to verify username’ error in Minecraft, it usually means that the server has failed to authenticate your identity. It can either be the Mojang server or other public servers. A variety of reasons can lead up to this event. The most probable explanation is the use of the cracked version of Minecraft. The cracked version of Minecraft can work fine for some time. But as soon as your session times out, you will either be prevented from logging into your XBOX account or will not be allowed on servers. This can prevent you from playing online with your friends by throwing the ‘Failed to verify Username error’. You cannot play multiplayer without being logged into your account.

If you are not using the cracked version of Minecraft, the next most probable reason can be a server outage. Because there is a temporary problem with the servers, you are not being granted access to online content. You can wait for a bit before trying again. Or, just use the fixes that can solve the problem and let you access online multiplayer servers.

How to fix it?

The first thing you can try to fix the ‘Failed to verify Username’ error is to log out of your account. Launch Minecraft and log out of your account. When you try to log in again, you will be asked for your email ID and password. Fill in the appropriate credentials and wait for your gamer tag and skin to appear on the menu screen. In most cases, this will fix the problem. For the players using the cracked version of Minecraft, try unlocking the game by paying for it. Cracked versions of any game are not worth it because they are full of errors and lack official support.
